The 15 Original Postures of Yoga with Amy Pearce-Hayden
with Amy Pearce-Hayden

October 15 (Wednesday)
at 6:00 pm

Class length
180 minutes

Class style
Moderately Active

Most of the hundreds of yoga postures that are practiced today were developed only a century ago. Surprisingly only 15 postures were outlined nearly 600 years ago as the foundation of the physical practice towards yoga in text form.

We will explore the 14 postures that precede savasana, all of which were designed to prepare the yogi for the deeper stages of self-realization. Explore the traditional approach to wellbeing as outlined by the Hatha Yoga Pradipika in theory and practice. Amy will offer an overview of the text, followed by an exploratory practice of the posture fundamentals, concluding with a silent meditation— all designed to move us closer to self-understanding.

All Levels Welcome.
